Instagram questions
Do I need a business account?
Yes. Instagram only allows messaging automation for Business and Creator accounts connected to a Facebook Page. Switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app.
Can AUTODMs DM people who never messaged me?
No. Instagram doesn’t allow cold DMs from automation. AUTODMs starts conversations from a comment, story reply, ad click or DM, which is how you reach people who are already interested.
Will automation get my account banned?
AUTODMs uses Meta’s official API and respects its limits, so it’s the same access Meta gives approved partners. Avoid spammy messages and you’re fine.
